This post covers using articles and the creation of a blog as a method you can employ to generate traffic to your site. In the future posts I will cover other methods like press releases, forums, twitter etc.

Create a Blog

1. Create a blog.
2. Customise your blog.
3. Write some good content on your blog.
4. Enter your blog into RSS feed directories.
5. You could use a program to do the submissions (I’m sure there is a web based free submission out there – please comment).
6. Ping your blog on http://www.pingomatic.com/ or set your wordpress to auto ping. Some ping lists for you to add:

Use Articles

Articles are differentiated from press releases in that they are meant to be more permanent resources unlike a press release which is more topical and less relevant as time moves forward. You can generate a constant stream of traffic from articles using the following method:

1. Write keyword optimised articles with high quality content.
2. Write it to be optimised by search engines for good rankings.
3. Write it to be very readable and interesting for others to read.
4. Use carefully selected keywords generated from Google Adwords keyword generator.
5. Make sure your link is inside the resource box and plugged inside the article.
6. You could hire a ghostwriter.
7. Now submit your articles.
8. Alternatively outsource the submission process.
